I first tried Tokyo Sushi after having driven by it for years. So, last month I decided to give it a shot and I was not disappointed. I'll be brief...

    Service was friendly and attentive.
Fish was THE FRESHEST I have had in Solano County
The rolls are all handmade/No frozen ingredients
The atmosphere is quiet and relaxing

I would rate Tokyo Sushi #1 in Solano County for the simple reason that I've not had better sushi anywhere else nearby and I've been to ALL local spots for many years. Why it took me so long to go here is beyond me.

This IS my go-to spot now. I don't go anywhere else. My compliments to the Chef!

Took a chance on this place because it's close to the house...unfortunately it didn't pay off.
We ordered 2 hot green teas to start and the man proceeded to bring us two white COFFEE MUGS, full of hot water and 2 Stash brand green tea bags. $1.99 each for a tea bag. The sign said free refills, so when the man came around he picked up our cups and took them to refill, he brought them back with more hot water. We had to re-use the same tea bag that we used the first time...and the tea was not at all like a Japanese green tea...it was nas-tea.

Next up the miso soup. Good soup with pleanty of of fresh chopped green onions, but tiny little cubes of tofu, like little chicklet sized...but tasted good.

Out come the apps. 1 order of shrimp tempura and 1 order of gyoza. The menu showed the shrimp with a nice little seaweed salad on the plate...I was looking forward to that. The shrimp tempura looked and tasted like it was made from frozen. The shrimp inside we're about the circumference of a number 2 wooden pencil and the tempura was not fresh or light...again I would guess it comes from a frozen box.  Also brought out were the gyoza. These were definitely made from frozen, and were nothing special at all. They had to be soaked in soy sauce to have any flavor...sad and boring.

For the sushi portion we ordered 2 spicy tuna rolls, and one rock and roll crab roll.  I should also mention that this whole time we were not given plates to eat on. It is custom in all the places I have eaten that when two or more people are sharing dishes you bring a plate for each person. We ate over a paper place mat and it was a mess. Back to the rolls...the spicy tuna was not good. The tuna itself tasted old and like it might be a little bit dangerous to eat. The rice was ok, but it's hard to mess up rice. The other roll had the weirdest tabiko on it. The eggs were micro tiny and they had almost no pop or flavor. The rest of the roll was lined up the same...it was not fresh, tasted bland and had no love in it.
Now we were the only ones in there so there is no excuse for not putting out the best possible dishes...unless that is their best
The check came and it was $52. None of the items on the receipt had a name, just prices. Good thing this wasn't a business lunch cuz that receipt would not do.
Decor is outdated and walls are badly in need of paint. The overall feeling in this place is one of gloom. For the prices they are charging they are way over charging. You can tell it's all about the money and not about the food or the atmosphere. I'm not sure how they are still in business because I can't be the only one who feels this way.
If your looking for sushi in Fairfield keep going...Tokyo is not your destination for quality.

I love good sushi that's just about the food, not the specialty fusions etc.

If I go to another bells and whistles sushi I'm going to turn heel and walk out. This place was polite, quite, simple and good. I loved that for my lunch.

Chirashi was excellent with four seafood cuts and egg over rice. Miso soup was not salty. I got to breathe, be in the quiet, and enjoy my lunch.
It's just what I  needed and I am happy I found it. I will be a return customer.

I stopped by a nearby atm after work and was trying to figure out what to eat for dinner. Tokyo sushi was right there. Went in an ordered to go. I ordered a bento box to go and hamachi nigiri  to eat while I wait for my order. The gentleman that took my order was the server, and the chef. He was very friendly, welcoming and hospitable. My nigiri was ok. Not bad in any way but nothing stood out about it. My total was 22$. Took my food home and it was sooooo good. The salad and the dressing was fresh. I also put the dressing on my shrimp tempura which was more like fried coconut shrimp. A nice surprise. The teriyaki steak was still hot and tasted really good too. It honestly tasted like a nice home cooked meal. It reminded me of the "family style" mom and pop Japanese restaurants I used to eat at as a kid. It was the best meal I had all week. And it really hit the spot. I'm so glad I decided to give this place a try. I will definitely be coming back here again to try the other bento .

my first time here today! i work in the area, and saw it on my way to get gas this morning.

    HYPES:

do y'all see the thickness of this salmon?! i mean...cmon! these salmon slices are H U G E! i dunno if it's cuz it's my first time or what (he asked me if it was) but i think this portion is generous! i got the sunshine roll and taste-wise, it isn't bad! very tasty!

service was so great as well! i loved how sweet the man who was helping me was! a gazillion stars for him!

    GRIPES:

this isn't the restaurants fault because ALL the businesses in this plaza give off the same vibe. but it seems very drab in here. also, prices seem a bit much, but it's reasonable because the sushi was so huge! definitely need to try other items.

    well done!
